Xia Qi (more than 4,000 years ago), the son of Yu and Tu Shan, was the second king of the Xia Dynasty. He was a native of Tu Shan (now Huaiyuan County, Bengbu City). Legend has it that Yu was supposed to pass the throne to Gao Tao according to the abdication system, but Gao Tao died early and decided to pass it to Gao Tao's son Boyi. As a result, the princes left Boyi's base to Qi's base, and the courtiers and the people also supported Qi, so Qi became the son of heaven for Xia Qi. In the capital, Xia Qi summoned the princes of the world to hold the "Juntai Enjoyment" and established his dominant position, becoming the first person in Chinese history to change from the "abdication system" to the "hereditary system".
