Tu Shan Nu
Tu Shan Nu, the wife of Dayu. The Huaihe River Basin in Anhui Province is an important area for Dayu to control the flood. According to historical records, Yu married Tu Shan's daughter in the process of controlling the flood and gave birth to Qi. Tu Shan is in Huaiyuan, Anhui Province, and Tu Shan lived in this area.
It is said that Tu Shan's daughter created the first female solo in China and the first southern folk song. When Tu Shan's daughter was waiting for Dayu to come home, she sang a song she had made. There was only one line in the song: "Waiting for people.". "Yi" is equivalent to the modern word "ah!" The song creates a vivid image of an affectionate woman standing on a hilltop, looking up, sighing and crying.
Today, there is a Tushan ancestral temple in Tushan, Huaiyuan County, Bengbu City, Anhui Province.。
