Inheriting Huizhou Skills and Enriching Huizhou Memory

In 1977, the International Museum Association designated May 18 as the International Museum Day. This year is the 42nd International Museum Day. On the occasion of the International Museum Day, the Anhui Hall of Fame invited nearly 200 student representatives from Wanci Primary School in Hefei, Wenhua Hope Primary School, Yandian Central Primary School and Liuhe Primary School in Feixi County to carry out research activities on the theme of Huizhou's "memory" through time and space in the social education activity room on the third floor of the Anhui Hall of Fame.

The activity started at 9 o'clock in the morning on time, and the students who received the notice came to our preface hall early to wait. First of all, Mr. Yang of the Ministry of Social Education led the students to visit the Anhui Hall of Fame. It also focuses on the important display object of the third exhibition hall of our museum-Bi Sheng, the inventor of movable type printing.

After visiting and studying the exhibition of the Anhui Hall of Fame, the students came to the social education activity room on the third floor of the Anhui Hall of Fame. Teacher Wang Dan of the Social Education Department carefully prepared a lively and interesting lesson on traditional Chinese culture. Mr. Wang first explained the relevant knowledge of International Museum Day for the students, and used PPT to tell the students about the development and historical contribution of printing. Subsequently, Mr. You of the Ministry of Social Education demonstrated the whole process of movable-type printing on the spot. The students experienced the process of movable-type printing, such as character selection, typesetting, inking, paper laying and printing, and felt the lasting scientific and technological aesthetic feeling of movable-type printing.

In this activity, we combine the movable-type printing technique invented by Bi Sheng, a native of Shexian County in ancient Huizhou, and use the way of space-time dialogue to connect the past and the present, to show the students who come to the museum to study, so that they can personally feel that Chinese characters are not only symbols of language, but also full of wisdom and living life. While increasing the students'experience of visiting, it also responded to the theme of the Museum Day, "Super Connection".
